Becky and Heather run Zale Drugs.

About Zale Drugs

Zales Drugs is locally owned
and operated since 1971.

Gene Zale bought Judd Drugs at its current location in 1971 and changed the name to Zale Drugs.  Zale’s continued with the soda fountain and offered the hometown pharmacy atmosphere that is still here today as well as the personal and professional prescription filling. In the late 1980’s, Gene became associated with PCCA (Professional Compounding Centers of America) and started providing compounded prescriptions. Gene took full retirement in 2013.

Becky Shroyer - Compounding Specilists

Becky Shroyer graduated from Butler University Pharmacy School in 1980 and started working at Zale’s that spring.  She left to work at another drug store in Warsaw for 2 years – but missed the atmosphere at Zale Drugs and returned.  Becky has helped to grow the compounding business.

Becky took over the hormone consultation part of the business in 2003. Becky believes Bioidentical Hormones are very important to women's health.

Heather Walker, a long time employee at Zales, recieived her Doctor of Pharmacy Degree from Butler University in the Spring of 2015, and recently became our new Pharmacy Manager. Heather continues to be a valuable asset for our company as she allows Becky to work less hours and gives her the ability to travel more.

Our group of part-time Pharmacists - each with their own specialty. In addition to Becky & Heather, Zale’s has a wonderful part-time staff of Pharmacists – each with their own specialty niche eager to serve you.

Our History

When Gene Zale was looking to sell the business it was a natural step for Becky to buy it. Becky’s husband, Lloyd, had recently sold his business and was available to help with the business end. This allowed Becky to continue to work in the pharmacy, oversee the compounding and do bio-identical hormone consultations.

Zale Drugs

After 35 years working as a pharmacist with Gene and then owning the store 5 years with her husband Lloyd, Becky sold Zale Drugs in the spring of 2015 to Hometown Pharmacy, keeping it an independent store with more to offer.

Zale’s still has the hometown pharmacy atmosphere and the soda fountain.  If you have never eaten lunch at Zale’s – you are missing a landmark in Warsaw.
